Athletics recreation leader – Part-Time
Under the general supervision of the athletics instructor, performs professional duties and assistance in planning, developing, implementing, and supervising recreational and athletic activities, athletic camps/events, and winter/summer camp, in addition to teaching/assisting athletic instruction for classes and officiating sporting events. This position will also perform all other duties as assigned for the Riverdale Park District.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able and willing to work with children in an athletic setting, and to assist with program development.
Must be self-motivated and team oriented
Possess the ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Possess the ability to follow both written and oral instructions
Must be able to assist in the instruction of athletic skills and drills for various sports including but not limited to: basketball, flag-football, tackle football, baseball, softball, tennis, floor hockey, any other athletic activity provided at the Riverdale Park District.
Must be honest and exhibit a high level of integrity
Must be able to assist with the development and implementation of sports winter/summer camps, out of school camps and special sporting events.
